The Indian community plans to raise $20 million to build a replica of the Taj Mahal in Auckland. The group wants a miniature version of the world-famous mausoleum to become the hub of cultural activities at the community's Mahatma Gandhi Centre in New North Rd, Eden Terrace. The replica could include a marble mausoleum, reflection pool and gold-plated ornaments.

The reason for the re-scheduling to the dates below is that Russell has landed a role in the Sci-fi action movie, Source Code. The film is set to be directed by Duncan Jones (Moon) and star Jake Gyllenhaal (Jarhead), Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air) and Michelle Monaghan (Eagle Eye).

The film Shantaram starring Amitabh Bacchan and Johnny Depp, is an adaptation of Gregory David Roberts novel, that describes his escape from an Australian prison to Mumbai and his adventures with the city's powerful mafia.

Shantaram is a work of fiction. However, due to its very vivid content and Roberts' known biography, some readers believe the book to be based more on fact and less on fiction.

Nair said that the film was still on track and that it would be released by 2011.
