| Jaskurn Gosal is a Punjabi lad from Brisbane (Australia) whos passion for music developed over the course of his teenage years where he started to establish which opportunities lay ahead of him, having overcome a few obstacles, he realized that music was something he wanted to take up. He began experimenting with tracks and creating mixes, fusing different sounds together to make a new sound. | His ability to remix saw a turning point with a major record label recognising one of his remixes of Gippy Grewal's ‘Phulkari’ which ended up on the mainstream compilation album ‘Planet Bhangra’.
In 2002 Jaskurn joined the Brisbane based DJ group, ‘Bhangranights’. Together, they toured all over Australia and performed live at many clubs and private functions. This step also saw him tour New Zealand and also perform in the famous Decibel night club in Delhi (India). |
| Jaskurn had the skills to implement his production with instruments like the Dhol and Tumbi. Having learnt all his percussion from his ustaad, Gurbinder Guraya, he was determined to learn his favourite instrument, the ‘tumbi’.

Born and raised in Sri Lanka before moving to Brizvegas with ma family in 1990. Fell in love wit music listening to old skool rap (it is now) such as Warren G, Snoop, Tupac (Above the Rim soundtrack)and RnB legends Boyz II Men. The idea of mixin beatz came after seein the clubs of BrizVegas, and the feeling to making a crowd bounce to the beatz of comin outta ur decks was ecstatic. Just like any kid wit a dream.Starting from a system that had minimum capabilities to nature his talent, he worked his way up the stream to be known in a community where the talent of a DJ had to be just as high as the talent to read the crowd and deliver. In his own words, he believes that experience and dedication leads to perfection with the right song selection. Whether he is the backbone of an event or dropping beats in your local street, he strives towards achieving at his best and giving the crowd what they hope for when they step out to the night scene. Overall, just cant get enough of music and thankful for the artist who bring out great RnB/Hip-Hop music everyday from all over the world. From rappers to soul singers to brilliant producers making those notes bounce. Anywayz, hope you like what I do as much as I Love doing it. Its ya boy Dj G creating the illest mixes with Hip-Hop/ Rap/ RnB/ Soul/ Reggaeton.

Whether it’s the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth or at home in Sydney, He has also had the chance to support local and international artists such as lil jon, Ricki Lee, Chingy, Montel Jordan, UB40, LL Cool J, Israel, Maxi Priest, DMX, Joe, Eve, RDB, Jay Dhabi, Stan Bravo, Bally Sagoo, Fatman Scoop, 112, KC & Jojo, Sean Kingston, Boys II Men and more.
With 6 to 8 club gigs a week, J-Rok likes to stay on top of his game by practicing his routines at a minimum of 4 hours a day and also keeping up to date with the best of the best party tracks for his rocking club sets. |
