About Soni 1998  - Soni came to Australia from India at the age of 10. 1998  - 2005   She immediately commenced studying classical Indian temple dancing, (Mohinniattam style), at the Natya Sudha School of Indian Dance under the expert tutelage of Tara Rajkumar. 1998 – 2004   She trained and performed in a variety of Western dance forms, including Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Funk, with Bev Storey’s Electric Dance Connection. 2005 –2007  - Soni performed Bollywood dance with the Jhanak Dance Company. Her work covered private and public events across Melbourne, including the Mind, Body, Spirit Festivals at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, The Flight Centre Annual Ball at the Convention Centre, the Water Aid Ball at Melbourne Town Hall, entertainment on the set of the Bollywood movie, Chak De! India , Moomba festivals, Waterfront City summer program and Diwali Festivals at Sandown and Federation Square. 2006 -  Featured with Jhanak dancers on 9.00 am with David and Kym, (Channel 10) 2006 -  2008  Soni taught, choreographed and performed with Mai Nachungi, based in Noble Park and Carlton. Workshops for schools, weddings, restaurants, parties and public events in Victoria and interstate. 2008 – featured with her students on Coxy’s Big Break ( Channel 7) 2008 – Joined the Bellacize Dance Team, as a Bollywood specialist, to choreograph dances, perform  and facilitate audience participation workshops at Corporate functions, parties, weddings and Hen’s nights. 2009 – Choreographed Bollywood segment for 2009 Melbourne Gang Show: “ Marco Polo”.
